Animal Allies pet of the week: Kakapo and Okapi

Kakapo, a 7-year-old grey kitty, and Okapi, a 9-year-old Calico kitty, have been at the shelter for a month. They came from the same home but could be adopted separately. However, if you’re looking to add 2 laid back kitties to your life these sweet ladies could be your match.

Both cats enjoy slow introduction and plenty of space to meet new people on their terms. A patient and low-key home would probably be the best fit for these girls. Allowing Kakapo and Okapi to come to you and seek our gentle pets is the way to their heart.

Older kids and no dogs would also be preferred for their next homes.

If interested in adopting Kakapo and/or Okapi, people can visit Animal Allies at 4006 Airport Road or call the Adoption Team at 218-722-5341. A nonrefundable $25 hold can be placed towards his adoption fee to put someone first in line to adopt him. The adoption team is available via phone Tuesday-Saturday from 10:30 am-6:00 pm and Sunday from 10:30 am-4:00 pm. The adoption process is first come, first serve.
