Downtown Duluth putting on Movies in the Park, Sidewalk Days

Summer is a busy time for Downtown Duluth. The group puts on several big events like Movies in the Park and Sidewalk Days.

Downtown Duluth President Kristi Stokes said the first Movie in the Park, “Spiderman: No Way Home” drew a great crowd.

This coming Friday, they’ll show “Top Gun: Maverick.”

“We are also teaming up with the Airshow. And so the Airshow will be doing a pre-party, so we’ll have the Blue Angels there, California Tom Cruise, we’ll have some autographs,” Stokes said.

Sidewalk Days runs July 12-14 with vendors and food set up along Superior Street, plus the Duluth Area Family YMCA’s Sidewalk Shuffle and street dances on Friday and Saturday nights.

“I think what’s really great is it brings so many people together on Superior Street, so you get to meet your friends, your neighbors, your colleagues. Some people just come down for lunch from their offices, whatever it may be, and just have a really good time,” Stokes said.
