A taxi service seen around the greater twin port area is working hard to provide strong customer service. Dwarf King Taxi is a locally run taxi business that has been driving in the greater Twin Ports area for the last two years.

A former Lyft driver, Bryce Kassing-Scheer, went independent to raise the standard of taxi driving in the Twin Ports area. He left his last factory job and wanted to try Uber and Lyft services with a previous history driving cabs.

After his experience driving for Lyft, Bryce started his own taxi company. “I kind of looked at the other cab companies and went, ‘”‘I think I could do better,” Bryce said. “And my goal with this was to raise the standard for cabs because when Lyft and Uber came to town, they kind of disrupted the cabbing industry, and those who were not up to snuff went belly up.”

He then cofounded Dwarf King Taxi LLC in September of 2022. The name chosen was picked from a nickname a friend gave Bryce. Now, the company has four cabs with custom Dwarf King Taxi wraps. Nine active drivers, and support staff working to serve the people.

“Customer service is huge for us. People that complement our friendliness, we’re polite, we’re fairly knowledgeable. Our vehicles are clean.” Dwarf King Taxi started as a local business and Bryce said he wanted to grow the business by local means as well.

“Our 50 percent that the company takes with the driver stays local, ” he said. “I get my vehicles fixed up here. It doesn’t feel like a normal cab.” Right now, the business is steadily growing, and they are looking for more drivers to help serve the greater Twin Ports area.
