From Heartbreak to Hope: Brianne Marie Talks “Dashboard Dandelion” and New Album

Today on Good Morning Northland, Breanne Marie from Breanne Marie and the Front Porch Sinners joined Sierra Naess to talk about the inspiration behind the band's new single, "Dashboard Dandelion".

Fresh off a moving live performance, Breanne Marie of Breanne Marie and the Front Porch Sinners sat down to talk about her latest single, Dashboard Dandelion — a song born from personal loss but transformed into something powerfully uplifting.

“This song actually started off as a really sad ballad,” Breanne shared. “It’s a song about a time when I was a foster mom. We had a baby in our care for about four weeks, and then he went up for adoption. We weren’t able to take him, and it just broke my heart.”

What began as a quiet, emotional reflection evolved with the help of her band. “The band turned it into a rockin’ tune,” she said. “We’ve got fiddle, pedal steel, guitars, drums, bass — it just is such a beautiful sound. And this song turned into a rocker, actually.”

The emotional weight of the story remains, but the band found a way to channel it into something hopeful. “It focuses more on the message of fleeting moments, but making your gratitude louder than your grief,” Breanne explained.

As the band gears up for their upcoming album, they’re inviting fans to be part of the journey. Supporters can contribute to the fundraising campaign that will help bring their new music to life.
