Lincoln Park Farmers Market holds growing season kickoff party

The Lincoln Park Farmer’s Market, organized by Community Action Duluth, held a growing season kickoff party at Harrison Park on Thursday, May 16. The regular season farmers market begins Thursday, June 13 and will continue every Thursday from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. throughout the season.

A market will not be held on July 4.

The market features more than 20 local vendors. The vendors offer a variety of products including garden seedlings, produce, meat, baked goods, canned goods, and gluten free and vegan items.

“We’re popping up in places where its harder to get this fresh, beautiful, healthy food” explained Kayla Pridmore, Food Access Program Manager with Community Action Duluth. “Sometimes there are just not as many of these community events in these neighborhoods. These neighborhoods tend to get forgotten in contrast to the main drag in Lincoln Park, so really try to bring all this positive energy and good food and get people to come out.”
