Opening night for ’12 Angry Men’ at the Time Arc Theater
This weekend, Time Arc Theater is presenting a thought-provoking performance of 12 Angry Men, an intense courtroom drama that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
We caught up with cast members Greg Anderson, Rob Larson, and Keith Russell, who are bringing this iconic play to life. The play focuses on twelve jurors deciding the fate of a man accused of murder, with each character bringing their own perspective. “It’s a very wide range, lots of different motivations,” Russell explained. “It’s interesting to see how their personalities develop and clash.”
Rob Larson plays the lone juror who votes not guilty: “I have questions, and I want to make sure we’re doing the right thing.” Greg Anderson’s character is fully convinced of the accused’s guilt, highlighting the intense dialogue that drives the play.
Rehearsals for the show began in January, with the cast rehearsing long hours to prepare. “It’s tough,” Larson said, “but our director Kathy Fank has been amazing in getting us ready.”
The themes of bias and compassion in 12 Angry Men, are still highly relevant today. “If we invited compassion into our discussions, things would be so much better,” Anderson said. “We hope people walk away thinking,” said Russell, “and carrying something meaningful from the play.”
The show opens tonight at Time Arc Theater on Tower Avenue. Tickets are $20 for general admission and can be purchased online at timearctheaterllc.com or at the door. Don’t miss out on this unforgettable drama!
