Animal Allies Pet of the Week: Help adopt 19 dogs

On Tuesday, Animal Alliies took in 19 dogs in an emergency collaboration with St. Louis County officials they need help finding homes to foster or adopt. More information is found on the GMN page of WDIO.com

For Good Morning Northland’s Pet of the Week with Animal Allies – The crew said “why feature one when you can feature 19?” Recently, Animal Allies in collaboration with St Louis County had to do an emergency intake of 19 local dogs and puppies.

According to an Animal Allies spokesperson, this is far too many dogs to safely and humanely house on site. The organization spread the word, and as of Thursday, they have received numerous inquiries to foster and adopt.

According to Animal Allies, they moved away from their normal adoption process to help find safe homes for these animals as quickly as possible. The caregivers at Animal Allies says the dogs will need a lot of patience and stability.

If you are interested in meeting with one of these dogs to either foster or adopt, please email nicole@animalallies.net to set up a meet and greet appointment!

There will be a fundraiser and answer session at Fleet Farm in Hermantown on Saturday from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
