St. Luke’s hosted a celebratory cookout on Wednesday to honor and celebrate local EMS professionals.
Hosted in St. Luke’s emergency department ambulance garage, EMS workers and their families could enjoy eating and conversing with their coworkers and community members.
“The skills that they have are supporting our community”, said Amery Robinson, Emergency Physician for St. Luke’s. “They provide good health care from the moment they arrive on scene to the moment that they get patients to the hospital.”
The event was held in during EMS Appreciation Week, which runs from May 19th-25th.
