Superior – Douglas County YMCA hosts annual Welcome Week
Starting September 18th, the Superior – Douglas County Family YMCA will be celebrating their annual Welcome Week. Their goal is to bring residents together to promote understanding and raise awareness of the benefits of welcoming everyone.
As a part of Welcome Week, the YMCA will offer free admittance to all for the entirety of the week. Welcome Week will have special activities planned throughout like Pickleball, Demo Night, a Childcare Open House and a community day with a creek clean-up, bounce houses, a dunk tank to raise funds for the Y’s annual campaign, yard games, and community partners with information about their services.
“At the Y, we too believe we’re stronger when everyone in the community feels welcome and we
can all work together for the common good,” said Hannah Bourgault, Marketing Director of the
Superior Douglas County Family YMCA. “Welcome Week is an opportunity for neighbors to
connect, find common ground and celebrate our shared values — all for a better us.”
Welcome Week goes from September 18th through the 23rd. Community Day starts at 11AM on Saturday, September 23. For more information, including a list of events happening through out the week, head to the Superior YMCA website.
