Support the Special Olympics at Jersey Mike’s Subs

Jersey Mike's franchise owner Mike Schonoover, Special Olympics athlete, Dave Lane and his mother Nancy Lane joined GMN to talk about the Day of Giving.

Today marks Jersey Mike’s 15th Day of Giving, where 100% of sales go to support Special Olympics Minnesota. This year also marks their third partnership with the organization, with the 2026 Special Olympics coming to the Twin Cities.

“This is our 15th year doing this, and we’re excited to be part of such a special cause,” says Mike Schonoover. “We’re helping create a more inclusive world through the power of sports.”

For athlete Dave Lane, the support means a lot. “It helps celebrate the power of sports to create a more inclusive world,” he says, sharing his appreciation for the program’s impact on athletes like himself.

Dave’s mom, Nancy Lane, adds, “It’s a wonderful opportunity for athletes to get involved in sports they might not have had the chance to before and share their talents with the world.”

Mike Schonoover invites everyone to join the cause today. “It’s our busiest day of the year, with lots of energy and excitement. Plus, for every donation, customers get a cash-back coupon,” he says.

Can’t make it today? No problem! The month of giving runs through the end of March. For more info, visit SOMN.org.
