Tech Bytes: Amazon launches new discount store

Amazon launches new platform, Amazon Haul, that features items that cost under $20. Apple releases Final Cut Pro 11 that adds new AI features to the video editing software. The Lightfoot, a solar panel powered scooter, is available for pre-orders.

Amazon launches a new discount store called Amazon Haul, where everything from apparel to electronics costs under $20. Most items ship directly from China. There’s no next-day delivery; instead, most purchases will arrive in under two weeks. Haul is Amazon’s attempt to compete with Chinese sites Shein and Temu.

Apple has launched Final Cut Pro 11 with new AI features. The update includes better visual effects, auto-generated captions, and spatial video editing. It’s a free upgrade for existing users, with new users paying a one-time fee of $300.

A solar-powered scooter is here. The Light Foot, wrapped in solar panels, can boost its range by up to 20 miles in summer or 10 in winter. Pre-orders start at $5,000, with delivery expected in January.
