Tech Bytes: Android phones will have new anti-theft tools
There are new tools to detect stolen phones for Android users. Google is rolling out new security updates for android phones. That includes “theft detection lock” – which can sense unusual motion, like a thief grabbing your phone away and then it can immediately lock the screen.
Apple unveiled new accessibility features powered by Artificial Intelligence. They include eye tracking, which allows users with physical disabilities to control their iPhone or iPad with their eyes. There’s “Music Hap-Tics” allowing the deaf or hard of hearing to experience music through taps and vibrations.
Finally, Uber is now offering a shuttle service, for things like concerts and sporting events. “Uber shuttle” lets users reserve up to five seats a week in advance. Uber says drivers will be licensed to operate larger transport vehicles. Shuttles will only operate at events listed in the app.
