Tech Bytes: Apple could release a cheaper Vision Pro

Tech Bytes: Apple plans to release cheaper version of the Apple Vision Pro

Apple is supposedly working on a cheaper version of their VR headset; the Apple Vision Pro. Steam adds a notice on how gamers don't actually "own" the games they purchase on their platform. Microsoft plans to allow for game streaming of games already owned, not just ones on Game Pass.

A cheaper Apple VR headset may be on the way. Reports say Apple may launch a $2,000 version of its $3,500 Vision Pro next year. The new model would use cheaper materials and lack some features.

Video game platform Steam is telling users they don’t actually own the games they buy. A new notice during checkout explains that a purchase only grants a license. This change is likely due to a new California law requiring digital companies to be upfront about ownership.

Microsoft is letting users stream games they own on Xbox Cloud Gaming, not just Game Pass titles. Testing starts in November, with plans to expand soon after. If all goes well, users could soon stream thousands of games from their own collections.
