Tech Bytes: Google changes plans on cookies for Chrome

In today's Tech Bytes from ABC: Google is changing its plans on getting rid of cookies for Chrome, Slack is bringing new tools to its app, and Tesla's CyberTruck to get Rocket League and Fortnite.

Google reverses its decision on “cookies.” The company has opted to keep third-party cookies in Chrome after previously planning to phase them out by next year. Advertisers use the files of information to target ads and measure performance. Google says it will keep the technology in Chrome and instead introduce new privacy controls.

Slack’s new update is bringing work to your fingertips. Four new widgets on the app let users see unread messages, update their status, and quickly access Slack. The update is now available for all iPhone users.

And finally, Tesla’s Cybertruck is rolling into Fortnite and Rocket League. Starting today, players can use the vehicle in both games. Epic Games released a new trailer to showcase the Cybertruck in action.
