Tech Bytes: Google implements free AI-features to apps
Google now includes AI tools to its Workspace suite. LinkedIn to add AI to find jobs for job-seekers, showing how qualified you might be for a position. The Australian Open changes the look of its livestreams to avoid broadcast listening issues.
Google is offering its AI features at no charge to workspace customers. The free AI tool is now included in Gmail, Meet, Docs, Sheets, and the rest of the Workspace suite, but it’s raising the price of its workspace plans. Companies will pay about $2 a month more per user.
LinkedIn is using AI to help job seekers. Its new job match feature provides detailed summaries along with job listings letting you know how qualified you are for a certain job. It also tries to understand your experience and whether it matches the job description.
This year’s Australian Open livestreams have a very different look. So to avoid broadcast licensing conflicts, the tournament is putting animated overlays on some matches, but rather than looking human-ish, the players look more like sports characters you might see in video games.
