Tech Bytes: A new LG microwave with cameras inside debuts

LG plans to release a microwave that includes cameras inside fed to a monitor. New rumors around the next generation of iPhones, including OLED displays and slim versions of the iPhone 17. Apple TV Plus offers a free weekend trial for users already with an Apple ID.

A microwave with a view! Check out LG’s upcoming offering at CES: a microwave with a 27-inch Full HD touchscreen display. Instead of watching your food through glass, you’ll be able to see it on one of the three cameras feeding the monitor.

Rumors are already swirling about the next generation of iPhones. One claim suggests Apple could bring its fancy OLED displays, currently offered on its Pro models, to the entire iPhone 17 lineup. Another rumor hints at a slim iPhone being offered next year. The iPhone 17 is expected to launch next September.

Apple TV Plus is looking to lure new subscribers with a weekend freebie. From this Friday to Sunday, anyone with an Apple ID will be able to view the streamer’s entire catalog of TV shows and movies free of charge. If they like what they see, they can sign up for $9.99 a month.
