Meta Connect 2024 kicks off this week. The event features the less expensive “Quest 3s” and new AI upgrades. The headset will be priced at $299. Meta is also expected to unveil new AR glasses and enhanced Ray-Ban smart glasses.

Microsoft plans to use power from the Three Mile Island nuclear plant. The plant would provide carbon-free energy for Microsoft’s data centers, from a reactor not involved in the 1979 partial nuclear meltdown at the site in Pennsylvania. The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission still must review and approve the deal.

SpaceX plans to launch five uncrewed Starship missions to Mars within the next two years. CEO Elon Musk says the timeline for a crewed mission will depend on the success of these uncrewed flights. If all goes well, the first crewed mission could happen in four years.
