Tech Bytes: Meta launches Threads

A new battle in the social media wars. Twitter is threatening to sue Meta over its new app, threads.
Elon Musk’s company says Mark Zuckerberg’s new offering stole trade secrets, as well as former Twitter engineering employees. Meta denies the claims.

Amazon is including a first-time item as part of its Prime Day deals, health care.
It’s offering an exclusive discounted plan through “One Medical”, a provider Amazon now owns.
For a limited time, Prime members can get one year of health care coverage for $144.

Finally, Tik Tok has launched a music service in Brazil and Indonesia to take on Apple Music and Spotify. Tik Tok music has many features of its rivals, and includes the catalogs of several major record companies. For now, Tik Tok has yet to comment on any  possible US expansion plans.
