In today’s Tech Bytes, pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 kicked off with a bang—but not in the U.S. Nintendo paused all U.S. pre-order plans, citing the potential impact of tariffs. Meanwhile, major retailers overseas sold out of the console within minutes.

Microsoft has once again become the world’s most valuable company, now worth more than $2.6 trillion, surpassing Apple, which has dropped 23% in value since late last week. At just under $2.6 trillion, Apple faces pressure due to the president’s tariff plan.

Finally, Uber has released its latest Lost and Found Index. No surprise, the top three most commonly left-behind items were phones, keys, and wallets. Among the more unique items were a mannequin head with human hair, a Viking drinking horn, a chainsaw, and breast milk. Uber also reports that the most forgetful city was New York.
