Tech Bytes: PBS Local content heading to Prime Video

The PBS channel is coming to Prime Video, with over 150 PBS-affiliated channels now able to be seen on the Amazon streaming-service. Google's Gemini AI app arrives on the iPhone. Microsoft launches "This is an XBox" campaign, which attempts to appeal to gamers beyond their console.

PBS is coming to Prime Video. It marks the first time the public broadcaster’s content will be free on a major streaming service. More than 150 PBS channels, including PBS Kids, will begin streaming over the coming months. Two exclusive channels, PBS Drama and PBS Documentaries, will launch on the 26th.

Google’s Gemini AI app is now available on the iPhone. It features Gemini Live, an interactive chat mode that works with text, voice, and camera. The free app also integrates with Google services like Maps and YouTube Music. An Android version is expected in the coming months.

Microsoft is aiming to make every screen feel like an Xbox. Its new “This Is an Xbox” campaign shows gaming on laptops, TVs, and VR headsets. It’s all part of Microsoft’s push to reach gamers beyond consoles. I’m hoping my screen gets this by 2025.
