Apple allows retro game emulators on app store, Google phones can look-up numbers that just called, and NASA has eclipse advice for smartphones.
Apple is officially allowing retro game emulators on the app store. Those apps will allow users to purchase games that comply with piracy laws. Until now, game emulators had been banned from IOS but some users had used workarounds to get the emulators on their phones.
Google is said to be working on a way to look up a phone number that just called you. Internet sleuths found a new “look-up” button in the beta version of the Google phone app. When you tap that button, it brings up a Google search with the number already entered.
Eclipse advice from NASA, think twice before taking pictures with your smartphone. The agency says your phone sensor could be damaged if its pointed directly at the sun. NASA says hold eclipse glasses in front of the device when shooting at any point other than totality.
