Tech Bytes: Samsung “Fan Edition” is back

Google is unveiling its latest devices this morning. The launch is expected to include the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro phones and the Pixel Watch 2. The phones will feature the most advanced Pixel cameras yet, along with some new AI features. And the watch may be water-resistant.

After a year off, Samsung’s FE or “Fan Edition” series is back. The phone is meant to offer flagship devices, at lower prices. The series includes the Galaxy S23 FE, with its three camera lenses, and wireless charging. There’s also a new Galaxy tablet and earbuds.

Google is making it harder to send “spam” to Gmail accounts. Effective early next year, the company will require anyone sending more than five-thousand messages per day to place an “unsubscribe” button in their messages. Yahoo has also signed onto the plan.
