Three tax preparation firms are accused of sending taxpayer data to Meta and Google. A congressional report called it a “shocking” breach of privacy by H&R Block Taxslayer and Tax-Act. According to the report, they shared users’ data over two years. Taxslayer claims the report contains false statements. H&R Block said that it takes protecting client privacy “very seriously.”
Microsoft is launching a new feature for Xbox, designed to help users report abusive language. The tool can capture video clips from inappropriate voice chats, which users can submit to moderators.
