TikTok users may soon get to enjoy the platform without ads. The company is reportedly testing an ad-free version of its app that’s expected to cost $4.99 a month. The app will still be available at no cost for users who don’t want to pay to ditch the ads.
Next, a new legal battle for Elon Musk’s X, formerly known as Twitter. The platform is being sued by a Florida ad agency, called “X Social media”, for competition and trademark infringement. X Social Media says “X” is causing marketplace confusion, resulting in a loss of revenue.
And finally – an AI warning from Tom Hanks. The actor says his likenesses was used for a dental plan ad without his consent. Hanks is one of many voices in tv and film, speaking out after AI version of them was used in ads.
