Apple is moving the button that ends calls. The IOS 17 update out this fall will place the red “end call” button in the lower right corner of the screen instead of the center. Another change coming to the iPhone includes a “more accurate” autocorrect.
Google messages will now be encrypted by default when messaging between Android devices. That level of protection was previously an option, but now it’s set to be the default. Text messages between Android and iPhone users will still not have encryption.
WhatsApp has introduced a new feature to improve video calls. Screen sharing will allow users to share documents, photos, and other information. It also allows WhatsApp to be used in a similar fashion to Zoom, Google Meet, and other video conferencing apps.
