Tech Bytes: YouTube battles artists’ copyright disputes

Several songs from various artists, such as Adele and Bob Dylan, have been taken off of YouTube due to licensing disputes. Google's smart reply feature gets upgraded with Gemini AI. Car manufacturers have started bringing back knobs and buttons to their car's features.

YouTube’s Copyright Battle: YouTube has pulled songs from artists including Adele and Bob Dylan due to a licensing dispute with a music group. Some tracks are now blocked in the U.S., but YouTube says it’s working to restore the music soon.

Google is upgrading its Smart Replies in Gmail with Gemini, the company’s AI chatbot. The new feature offers more detailed and personalized responses based on the entire email thread. The feature will be available to premium and business users by October 15th and can be enabled in Gmail settings.

Some carmakers are bringing back actual knobs and buttons to newer models, including Volkswagen and BMW. Experts say safety concerns are leading to the switch because actual buttons are easier to push while keeping your eyes on the road.
