Tech Bytes: YouTube tests random video picker button
YouTube is experimenting with a new button option that will allow users to queue up a randomly selected video, similar to Google's "I Feel Lucky" feature. LG debuts new gaming monitors, including a bendable screen. A security alert is issued to Chrome users, as hackers have inserted malicious data into Chrome browser extensions.
YouTube is testing a new floating button called “Play Something,” said to be similar to the “I Feel Lucky” feature on Google. The “Play Something” button will hover just above the bottom bar of the app. When you tap it, it will pick a YouTube video to play for you.
Next, LG is rolling out its newest gaming monitors, including a 45-inch bendable model. The company says it offers “a more immersive gaming experience” than standard displays. It will make its full debut at next week’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
Finally, a security alert for Chrome users: According to Reuters, hackers put malicious code into Chrome browser extensions as far back as a few weeks ago. The code was reportedly designed to target social media advertising and AI platforms.
