UMD ‘Engineers Without Borders’ Kenya Project

Allicia Petrich and Yohanis Hundessa from the UMD Engineers Without Borders group joined GMN to tell us about their program’s completed a two-week trip to Nyansakia, Kenya in January, as part of a project to help the area access drinking water more efficiently.

The group has a fundraiser coming up at Hoops Brewing in Duluth on Friday, April 28th. The event will have a significant impact on the people in Nyansakia, Kenya where people currently have to walk a great distance to retrieve water that is often contaminated and unsafe for consumption.
