Wired Whisker excited to open in Duluth on Friday

Wired Whisker, the Northland's first cat cafe, is opening in Duluth on Friday, May 31st. The owner, Misha Smith, joined Good Morning Northland to give a preview on what they have in store and how they're feeling ahead of the opening.

Wired Whisker, the Northland’s first cat-cafe is set to open their doors on Friday, May 31st.

If you are unfamiliar to what a cat cafe is, they operate similarly to a regular coffee shop but have a designated area that’s seperate from the cafe where patrons can sit and interact with adoptable rescue cats who are looking for their next loving home.

Wired Whisker is partnering with multiple non-profits all throughout the region including Animal Allies to help provide resources to find homes for cats.

Wired Whisker is also looking for volunteers, including cat lounge, transport, cleaning, and more. As an added bonus you also get to hang out with the cats during the shift and get a free tea or coffee.

The cafe portion of Wired Whisker is set to provide a wide range of choices for coffee and tea lovers as well as mixed breverages, smoothies, Mike and Jen’s Hot Cocoa and even partnering with Positively Third Street and Duluth’s Best Bread. There will even be a beer and wine menu for guests who are of age.

Wired Whisker is located at 1823 East Superior Street.
