Grandma’s Marathon hosts elite post-race conferences

The Grandma’s Marathon elite runners and champions gathered together for post-race conferences Saturday afternoon.

Elisha Barno took the men’s marathon title for the sixth time, solidifying his name as the all-time winningest runner in Granma’s Marathon history.

“You know, I’ve been running so many races like Houston and my body I think is not cooperating with Houston, but when I come to Grandmas, I see like I am running very well, I’m winning,” said Barno after being asked why he keeps coming back after so many years.

Olga Mazuronak – despite not speaking much English) – took the microphone to discuss her feelings on her performance.

“My preparation was not very good, and this was unexpected for me today,” said Mazuronak.

Annie Frisbe and Dakotah Lindburg remained together throughout both the race and press conference. Both women beat the previous half marathon record, with Frisbe coming in slightly ahead for the title.
