A focus on education at the Duluth Playhouse

A real ‘sister act’ at the Duluth Playhouse

Two sisters play big roles in the camps at the North Shore rehearsal studios.

Sisters Reagan and Paisley Kern have spent the summer getting ready to perform with the Duluth Playhouse’s Youth Theatee.

Both participated in the Summer Intensives. Regan is starring as Regina George in the Mean Girls High School version, for 8th through 12th graders. Paisley is in Godspell Jr., which is for 3rd to 8th graders.

Students spend about a month preparing for these shows, working 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. This kids build their triple threat skills, learning to sing, act and dance.

By the time this camp is over, they get to present a fully realized production on the NorShor stage.

Godspell Jr. runs Friday through Sunday, August 9 – 11.

Means Girls High School Version runs Friday through Sunday, August 16 -18.
