From celebrating ends to a couple seasons to looking forward to a new one, there’s lots to do Around Town this weekend.
Winter Meltdown
Lutsen Mountains are melting. Downhill skiing at Lutsen has been closed, but it’s reopening for one day on Saturday. There’s a Caribbean-themed meltdown party to celebrate the end of ski season. The Jamaican student workers at Odyssey Resorts host the Jammin’ in the Highlands party. They invite people to grab some tropical attire and enjoy one last day on the snow.
Spring Gardening Extravaganza
St. Louis County Extension is hosting a Spring Gardening Extravaganza at the Depot from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday. The theme is “Designing your Northern Cottage Garden.” It costs $30 per person. There will be presentations, displays, and workshops throughout the day.
Pharewell to Phantom
The Lyric Opera of the North is saying “pharewell” Phantom. While the final performance is going on in New York, there will be a goodbye party in the Moorish Room of the Greysolon building. There will be singing and surprises starting at 4 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $35 in advance or $45 at the door.
