Lexy Land was inspired to start Lift Bridge Bagels on a trip to New Zealand.

“And we ate at the cutest little bagel shop. It was Star Trek/Star Wars-themed. It was called Beam Me Up Bagels,” Land said. “I started making them at home because I couldn’t really find around here what I wanted. And then somebody local encouraged me to get going with doing it to scale.”

In December 2020, she started selling half-dozen bagel boxes with cream cheese for pickup.

“And today, I’m doing wholesale, a couple regular retail accounts, and different retail customers. So that’s been fun,” she said.

She has flavors like cranberry wild rice, jalapeno cheese, everything, plain, and more. She also makes English muffins.

People can order online up to the day before for pickup on Mondays or Thursdays. She also delivers to the Whole Foods Co-Op locations on Tuesday and Friday mornings. Lift Bridge Bagels are also in a few local cafes, and Land sells at some pop-up markets throughout the year.
