CareerForce helping with summer hiring
The labor market is labor market is difficult for employers, and a great opportunity for those seeking jobs. Here is why.
It’s summer hiring season, and Duluth’s CareerForce office is planning extended hours at its monthly job fairs to connect candidates with employers.
The April 3 and May 1 job fairs will run from 2-5 p.m., an hour longer than the typical 2-4 p.m.
Career Counselor Betsy Hill says with unemployment under 3% and workforce participation lower than pre-pandemic, there are many opportunities to change careers or find a new job.
Besides attending a job fair, people can request meetings with job counselors and use the computer lab at the CareerForce center in downtown Duluth.
