Ely’s newest restaurant, The Frisky Otter, is officially open for business. It offers a variety of foods, but the biggest draw is the restaurant’s Italian flair.

“We wanted to bring kind of a Wisconsin-style supper club,” says co-owner Michael Cascone. “I’m Italian, my wife’s Italian, so we do some Italian specialties. One of our specialties is a Chicago Italian Beef, authentic.”

Michael also owns the restaurant with his wife Nicole. The Frisky Otter also offers Ely’s biggest patio dining option. Which is perfect for the summertime, with some live music performances taking place there too.

Cascone says, “We knew the town needed this, and there’s always folks that are like, ‘Oh, it’s going to be like this, or it’s going to be like that.’ And we knew that it was going to be successful. We knew the town needed it.”
