Chester Bowl Fall Fest is an annual event that marks the change in seasons.
This year, they’re expecting 130 vendors plus live music from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
There’s a suggested donation of $5 per person or $10 per family, which supports winter program scholarships for kids in need.
“At Chester Bowl, we think anyone should be able to be part of our programs – summer camp, the ski and snowboard program – regardless of their income,” Chester Bowl Improvement Club Executive Director Dave Schaeffer said. “And we know that a lot of families can’t afford things like that.”
Last year, they awarded more than $42,000 in winter scholarships and over $31,000 in summer scholarships.
“We can only do that because of the generosity of the community that believes in our mission,” Schaeffer said.
Because there is not much parking at Chester, organizers are asking people to take a shuttle from UMD’s Lot B on College Street and University Drive.
