Cloquet Library encourages kids to ‘Read, Renew, Repeat’ this summer
The Cloquet Public Library will have many events and incentives to encourage kids to continue to read over the summer.
If school isn’t out already, most students will start their summer vacation within the week.
The Cloquet Public Library will have many events and incentives to encourage kids to continue to read over the summer.
Morgan Reardon, the children’s librarian, kicked off the “Read, Renew, Repeat” Summer Reading Program on Monday.
“Kids, they get three months of summer. If they don’t read or do educational activities over the summer, they end up losing about two months’ worth of their education,” Reardon said.
There are prizes like Squishmallows and a drawing for a bike.
The library also hosts teen and adult summer reading challenges.
