Concerts by candlelight coming to Duluth
Candlelight concerts are coming to Duluth.
Fever will put on three themed concerts in May, June, and July. Each is performed by a string quartet and lit by hundreds of LED candles.
- May 18: Vivaldi’s Four Seasons
- June 15: Tribute to Taylor Swift
- July 20: Tribute to Coldplay
There are two shows for each, one at 6:30 p.m. and one at 8:45 p.m. Tickets range from $38-60.
These started in Madrid in 2014, then came to New York. In 2019, the concerts began in Minneapolis. This summer will be the first time they’ve been done in Duluth.
“It’s really a magical experience, and I’m excited that the people of Duluth get to experience it,” Kara Hernandez said.
The Duluth Masonic Center will be the venue.
“We basically want to create a unique feeling, so unique architecture, maybe a unique view, maybe even somewhere that you wouldn’t expect a concert to happen,” Hernandez said.
Doors open 45 minutes prior to the performance, and Hernandez suggests getting there early because seats are not assigned.
