Destination Duluth photo feature: Kathleen Wolleat

Kathleen Wolleat took a community education class 20 years ago, and got interested in the Duluth/Superior Camera Club.

Kathleen Wolleat contributes beautiful landscapes and close-ups of nature’s beauty to Destination Duluth’s social media pages.

Her photography hobby – or obsession, she admits – started in a Community Ed class.

“The instructor happened to be a member of the Duluth Superior Camera Club and told me I had that eye for composition,” Wolleat said.

In the winter, she enjoys mixing up bubbles that quickly freeze at 15 degrees or colder.

Her photos have been shared on Destination Duluth 118 times over the past two years, Destination Duluth founder Jerry Thoreson said, and they’ve been seen 1.7 million times.
