Natalija Walbridge recreating the beauty of Park Point with fiber art
The artist behind Dock 5 is recreating the beauty of Park Point into beautiful collages, made entirely out of fiber and fabrics.
Natalija Walbridge is the fiber artist behind Dock 5 and has a love for the nature living in Park Point.
Her Dock 5 studio is in view of Hearding Island, a place where she gets most of her inspiration from. The island is a 29.19 acre Wildlife reserve, where many of the animals Natalija puts into her pieces come from.
Walbridge used to work as a corporate fashion designer but after seeing the turn to fast fashion she decided to look for a a new art form that would have less of a environmental impact while using that art to speak on her passion for the outdoors.
You can check out Natalija Walbridge’s artwork at Dock 5 on her website here.
She will also be displaying her work at the upcoming Art in Bayfront Park festival coming up on Saturday August 17th from 10:00am to 5:00pm and Sunday August 18th 10:00am to 4:00pm.
