Dog-friendly events, patios, and more

Summer will be here shortly, and the woman behind DogApproved.biz has some ideas to get your four-legged friends involved in seasonal activities.

Linda Nervick shared about some upcoming dog-friendly events:

• Walk for Animals is in June at Bayfront Park
• Pup Crawls
• Yappy Hour on Tuesdays after Memorial Day at Fitger’s

She also let us in on her favorite dog-friendly patios:

• Cedar Coffee Co. in Two Harbors

Nervick also recently learned a tip for dogs that pull on leashes that she passed along.

“I learned that if you just stop and the dog looks at you or releases the leash, then it learns that it won’t pull,” she said. “So then if it’s pulling again, just keep stopping. And after awhile, they figure it out.”
