Duluth Whiskey Project opening in 2025
The Duluth Whiskey Project has been in the works for years, and the crew plans to open a tasting room in the Lincoln Park neighborhood this year.
Kevin Evans has been distilling for about 12 years, including with the Vikres of Vikre Distillery. His oldest barrels are turning 7 and just about ready.
They make varieties like Honey Whiskey, Cider Whiskey, Shandy Whiskey, and bottled cocktails.
The tasting room will be on West Superior Street near Duluth Cider and Madill Dance Studio. They’re aiming for a February or March opening.
“We’ve got the beer, we’ve got the cider down there. We needed a cocktail place,” Evans said.
The Duluth Whiskey Project will eventually also have vodka, rum, and more.
“We definitely wanted to have a lot of variety as far as drinks at the bar,” Ryan King said. “So your standard cocktails, seltzers, even just rail drinks. You want a whiskey coke, you can get that. It’s just going to be our whiskey.”
