It’s the best time of year to eat local, and the farms along the Clover Valley Farm Trail make it easy.
This Sunday, they’re hosting the Clover Valley Farm Fest. It goes from 12-4 p.m. at the Agate Acres Farm.
They’ll have farmers’ market vendors, information, demonstrations, music, and more.
Pat Berger and her husband started Boreal Bounty Farm about six years ago to grow vegetables. She said the growing season had a rocky start but has been pretty good since.
“First, it was kind of late getting the snow to melt, and then it was very, very dry,” she said.
The Clover Valley Farm Trail is a group of 11 different farms that came together to open self-serve farm stands on Sundays.
“We say it’s the farmers’ market meets the Sunday drive,” Berger said.
