Edible Minnesota magazine celebrates local food and drink
Edible Minnesota, a new magazine showcasing local food and drink, just published its second issue.
The magazine will be published quarterly with seasonal focus. They are free to pick up at various businesses around the state, or a home delivery subscription can be purchased online.
Each Edible Minnesota issue will feature local growers, producers, chefs, and more but also include recipes readers can make at home.
Nick Mies and Ami Jarosinski started it.
“We spent a lot of time in the kitchen together cooking, and it’s something that really bonded us,” Jarosinski said. “And over the years, as we’ve been cooking more and using new ingredients, we started to really question where are these ingredients coming from, who are we supporting.”
As they dug into it, more people and stories came up. So they decided to join Edible Communities and launch the magazine. One of their favorite parts is the recipes.
“We want to inspire people to cook more in their own kitchens with their family and friends,” Mies said. “Our recipes are always geared toward the home cook.”
