Exciting progress on the Duluth Armory restoration project

The Armory restoration project gives an update on the process

Representatives from the Duluth Armory are giving us an update on their on going restoration.

The quest to bring the Duluth Armory back to its former glory and preserve American music history continues.

“It’s happening,” says co-director Michelle Miller. As of October, crews are working to remove the lead paint. They’ve also hired a contractor who will start work in the Spring. “The community is going to really start seeing some activity, inside and out, of The Armory.”

The Duluth Armory plans to open the building in the early fall of 2026. Michelle says, “It’s over a thousand sq. ft. building. We have four stories with many updates and infrastructure that need to be added. We have very capable contractors. You know, multiple things can be happening at once. Mark your calendars. This is happening.”

In the meantime, there are ways to support the Duluth Armory. More information is available online.

Plus, a Wine Reception- a Give to the Max fundraising event- is planned for Friday, November 1 from 4:30 – 6 p.m. That’s held next door at the Armory Annex. Admission is free, and you can win prizes.
