Finding rest when you’re ‘Tired but Wired’

Have you ever been completely exhausted, but too wired to sleep? It’s a fairly common way that anxiety presents itself.
Nikki Karnowski of Metamorphosis Coaching, Consulting & Training says that if you have a chronic stress problem, it’s, first of all, worth a visit to a health care provider.
Caffeine, medication, and sleep deprivation can make this feel even worse. There are other things that contribute like low blood sugar, nutritional deficiencies, or hormonal problem- which are best dealt with by a health professional.
As for short-term remedies, you might want to schedule some downtime in your day, increase rest, hydrate well, and practice deep relaxation.
Nikki recommend using apps, Calm or Welltory, to help you get into a habit of calming yourself down.
