Food Truck Friday: The Rambler
Now in its 11th season, The Rambler is one of the original trucks to serve food in Duluth’s streets.
Owner Jonathan Reznick said when he started the truck, music inspired its name.
“I happened to be listening to a bluegrass band at the time, and there was a lot of rambler references,” he said. “And so after kind of bouncing around a few names, I stuck with that because it made sense about roaming, rambling, moving around, which we do on the truck.”
The menu includes items like Reuben Fritters, a Shrimp Po’boy, and Mahi Mahi Tacos. Reznick comes up with most of the recipes, although he gets the kitchen crew involved too.
“Our food has changed a little bit over time. We’ve come up with some new stuff every once in a while but definitely keep the classics,” he said. “We had a facelift a few years ago, so the face has changed a little bit. But I would like to think our quality of food is the same, I would like to think our service is the same. And we get to continue to serve the community of Duluth, which is a lot of fun.”
Reznick says one of the best parts of having a food truck is the people they’ve met over the last decade.
The Rambler posts about where they’ll be on Facebook and Instagram.
