Forty years of Chester Bowl Fall Fest
Chester Bowl Fall Fest is an annual event that marks the change in season.
This year’s celebration is their 40th anniversary. It’s Saturday, September 21 from 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
They’re expecting 130 vendors- selling handmade items, produce, and flowers- as well as live music.
There’s a suggested donation of $5 per person or $10 per family, which supports winter program scholarships for kids in need.
Program Director Same Luoma says Chester expects to award $27,000 in scholarships this winter alone, “Every dollar goes to a really good cause and will really help out.”
The Chester Bowl Improvement Club will be selling branded gear and sharing information about their plans to expand and renovate the Thom Storm Chalet.
Because there is no parking at Chester, organizers are asking people to walk, bike, or take a shuttle from UMD’s Lot B on College Street and University Drive. Limited handicapped accessible parking is available.
