Handmade Holiday Market returns to Lincoln Park Craft District

The Lincoln Park Craft District is hosting the annual Handmade Holiday Market Saturday December 10. Local business come together to make it happen- like Duluth Pottery, Dovetail Café, Kirsten Aune Designs, Bent Paddle. Karin Kraemer of Duluth Pottery tells us why she thinks we should do our Christmas shopping locally, “You’re supporting the people who make that work and their families. You’re paying taxes here instead of other cities. The way we build our economy and the health of our community is we really support ourselves locally.”

But there’s also some pop-ups. Children’s book author Chris Monroe, Melanie Lieb, and Dock 5 will be there. “I have a brick and mortar store, but a lot of folks that have small business don’t have a brick mortar store,” Karin tells us. Everything there will be made by people from food, to artwork, and to clothing.
