How to ‘close the loop’ on zero waste
Author, April Hepokoski stopped by The Lift to explain her new book 'Closing the Loop on Zero Waste'
April Hepokoski of Esko tries to live with as little waste as she possibly can. She runs the Zero Waste Duluth Facebook page and encourages others to make easy environmentally friendly swaps too.
She recently released a book, “Closing the Loop on Zero Waste.” She also previously contributed to a book called “Zero Waste Kids.”
The new book is about realigning herself with nature and nature’s systems.
“Closing the loop is really about looking at how nature creates materials, uses materials, and discards materials. There is no waste in nature,” Hepokoski said.
The book contains seven R’s that she uses to live more aligned with nature.
It can be purchased at her school, The Little Barnyard Preschool, or on Amazon.
Hepokoski will be signing books starting at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2, at the Cloquet Public Library.
